Reiki is a spiritual healing art with origins in Japan.  The word "Reiki" comes from the Japanese word "Rei" which means Universal being, & "Ki" which means life force. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. Reiki was developed by Mikao Usui (1865-1926) in Japan, and later spread to the world via the United States.

During a Reiki session the practitioner channels energy through their hands using their intuition to sense where healing is needed most.  There is little or no pressure making this treatment safe for all age groups, including pregnant women & those recovering from surgery. Reiki is administered fully clothed & can sometimes bring feelings of heat, cool, or tingling. Non-invasive, it is very relaxing & can be administered remotely too.
