Tuina Massage London

The term Tuina which literally means "pinch and pull," refers to a wide range of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapeutic massage and body work. Tui na is not generally used for pleasure and relaxation, but rather as a treatment to address specific patterns of disharmony.

This involves massaging the whole body or just an area of the body as required in order to bring about relief, flexibility, disperse toxins, ease tensions, knots & adhesions and restore general wellbeing.

This involves putting the body through a series of techniques involving grasping, kneading, pinch & poll, rubbing, tapping, pressing, rolling, wiping, pushing and rocking.

Mostly practiced over clothes, however massage oil, cream or balm may be reapplied to areas to aid glide.

Tuina as practised in China treats conditions that in the west would require an osteopath, chiropractor, physiotherapist, or a sports therapist. Unlike these techniques, it works not only on the muscles and joints but also on a deeper level, affecting the flow of vital life energy in the body.
